Hello, my name is Aubrey Stock and I am running for Lovejoy ISD Board of Trustees, Position 2.

My husband, Chad, and I moved to Lovejoy in the summer of 2018 and we have five children: 

  1. Madelyn: 5th grader at Sloan Creek Intermediate School
  2. Russell:  2nd grader at Hart Elementary
  3. Kate: Kindergartner at Hart Elementary
  4. Julia: Preschooler at GEM Express
  5. Rachel:  1 year old at homeschool 😉

Over the past several years, I have been dedicated to learning about Lovejoy, serving our students and teachers, and advocating for our district at the state level:

  • I have regularly attended school board meetings over the last four years and participated in multiple campus and district committees. 
  • I have served for multiple years on multiple PTO boards, in our classrooms,  and on the Lovejoy Gifted Association. 
  • I have sat across from Rep. Candy Noble, Sen. Angela Paxton, and several other legislators to advocate for more funding for Lovejoy.  

I pursued each of these different avenues of service because I truly care about Lovejoy’s future and the legacy it leaves behind.  I want to work hard to ensure that Lovejoy remains a destination district for both our families with high school seniors today and high school seniors in 2041, like my one-year-old, Rachel.  

As a Lovejoy trustee, I hope to be:

A VOICE FOR YOUNG PARENTS

As a mother of five young children, I can provide the much-needed perspective of our preschool and elementary families as the board considers decisions that truly impact our youngest learners and shape the future of Lovejoy.

A LEGISLATIVE ADVOCATE FOR OUR SCHOOLS

As a parent who has been actively lobbying our current representatives for public school funding over the last year and a half, I can bring relevant legislative experience and knowledge to the board and continue to advocate for Lovejoy at the state level.

A CHAMPION FOR OUR TEACHERS AND OVERALL ACADEMIC SUCCESS

As a former teacher and attorney, I can reinforce policies, programs, and budget appropriation for the resources and support our teachers need to propel our students toward academic excellence while fulfilling my legal duty as a trustee to uphold and oversee student achievement.

A WELL-INFORMED AND DEDICATED SERVANT OF LOVEJOY

As an avid volunteer, I have strong community support and keen awareness of the issues of our district is facing, especially having attended 50+ school board meetings. I understand the role of the board and I feel ready to hit the ground running!

My commitment to Lovejoy shows through in the many different roles, committees, and organizations I have participated in.

At that time, Aubrey was the PTO President at Hart Elementary, and I was consistently impressed by her unwavering commitment to the students, staff, and families of our community. Aubrey’s leadership was both effective and inspiring. She connected with the Hart Elementary board, district leaders, and parent volunteers with ease and genuine care, always putting the needs of the school at the forefront.     I've had the privilege of working alongside Aubrey in education advocacy efforts, including visits to the offices of three State Representatives and two Senators, all in pursuit of securing vital funding for our school. Through these experiences, I have seen firsthand Aubrey’s remarkable ability to dive deep into complex issues, advocate fearlessly for what is right, and maintain a calm, thoughtful approach even in the face of pressure.
